Grading

From general site grading to laser-guided precision work, CMJ shapes your site to the tolerance the job actually requires.

Most sites need standard grading, shaping the land so water moves away from the structure and the ground is level enough to build on. Some jobs need more than that: an exact tolerance across the whole pad, drainage that has to fall at a precise rate, or a large flat area that has to stay flat within a tight margin. CMJ handles both.

For that second tier, CMJ runs laser-guided equipment, a Topcon GPS system, a Spectra Precision laser, a Topcon rotary laser, and a Moasure 2 Pro for field verification, so the grade gets checked against a real reference instead of eyeballed.

General Grading

Shaping the site so it drains right and sits level.

  • 01 Site evaluation for the cut, fill, and drainage the job calls for.
  • 02 Grading to the shape and slope the site needs.
  • 03 Final grade check before calling the job complete.
Laser-Guided Precision Grading

For jobs where "close enough" isn't good enough.

  • 01 Setting up the laser grading system to the exact tolerance the job requires.
  • 02 Grading against that reference in real time, not by eye.
  • 03 Verification pass to confirm the grade hits spec across the whole area.

The No Shortcuts Guarantee

If the grade isn't right, we fix it. That standard doesn't change whether it's a standard grade or laser-guided precision work.
